Even Dems Know Biden Bungled Afghanistan: Blumenthal ‘Frustrated’ By Delays Getting Americans Out

(Washington, DC) — Some lawmakers are bashing the Biden administration over delays in evacuating Americans from Afghanistan. In a statement, Senator Richard Blumenthal says he’s “frustrated” and “furious.” The Connecticut Democrat said his focus is “getting planes in the air” and safely to Doha, Qatar. Texas Congressman Michael McCaul also blasted the administration over evacuations in an interview. The top Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee told Fox News Sunday there were planes of Americans and Afghan allies that were grounded for days because of the Taliban. However, the State Department said Monday four Americans were taken out and the Taliban didn’t interfere.
