(Los Angeles, CA) — A cross-country motorcycle trek is underway to honor the memory of first responders who died as a result of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Ralph Terrazas and Fire Hogs Motorcycle Club president Jack Wise were present during the ride’s kick off Monday morning. To honor the 20th anniversary of the attacks, the event took place at the World Trade Center Memorial at the LAFD training center — which features a 23-ton, approximately 22-foot-tall steel column that was originally part of the lobby structure of the World Trade Center. The group of more than 50 riders started at the Frank Hotchkin Memorial Training Center in Elysian Park, and will travel about three-thousand-miles to New York City.
