(Sacramento, CA) — Cal Fire says more than 15-thousand firefighters are fighting 15 large wildfires across the state. The fires have burned more than one-point-seven million acres across state and federal land. The massive Dixie Fire accounts for more than 770-thousand acres, while the Caldor Fire in El Dorado County has burned through 177-thousand acres. The combined resources from local, state, tribal, and federal agencies includes nearly 12-hundred fire engines, more than 350 bull dozers, and more than 100 helicopters. With recall ballots in the mail and in people’s homes, the continued failure to address the wildfires is an issue that Californians may consider.
