IE Marines Among Victims Of Kabul Bombing

(Washington, DC) — A trio of U.S. Marines from the Inland Empire are among the victims of a suicide bombing in Kabul. The explosion killed 13 service members — including Lance Corporal Kareem Nikoui  of Norco, Corporal Hunter Lopez of Riverside and Lance Corporal Dylan Merola of Rancho Cucamonga. Norco Mayor Kevin Bash says his community is one that loves United States veterans.

10 Service Members From Camp Pendleton Among 13 Killed in Kabul

(San Diego, CA — Ten of the 13 U.S. service members killed in the terrorist attack in Afghanistan were based at Camp Pendleton. The names of all those killed were released by the U. S. Department of Defense. They include the nine Marines from the huge base in Oceanside along with a Navy Corpsman also assigned to Camp Pendleton. One of the Marines who died was based at Camp Lejeune North Carolina and another one was based overseas. Also among the dead was an Army Staff Sergeant from Ft Bragg in North Carolina.
