The last American military aircraft have departed Kabul airport, the Pentagon announced Monday, ending America’s longest war.
The news was first reported by TRT World journalist Ali Mustafa in a tweet.
“Taliban commander: last US military planes – four in all – have departed from Kabul airport – airport is now under Taliban control,” Mustafa’s tweet read.
