Biden Refuses To Take Questions On Afghanistan While At FEMA

(Washington, DC) — President Biden is refusing to answer questions on Afghanistan. While giving an update on Hurricane Ida, Biden was asked by a reporter about the situation in the war-torn country. He refused and said, “I’m not gonna answer Afghanistan now.” Biden visited FEMA headquarters to get an update on the storm that made landfall in Louisiana as a strong category four storm. His visit came after he went to Delaware as the remains of fallen U.S. service members arrived back in the U.S. He and First Lady Jill Biden were there for the dignified transfer of the troops killed last week in Kabul.

(Kabul) — The Pentagon says a U.S. drone took out a suicide bomber in Afghanistan. U.S. Central Command said the ISIS-K car bomb posed an “imminent” threat to the Kabul airport. The report comes after the U.S. Embassy in Kabul issued a security alert Saturday night advising Americans near the airport to leave the area immediately because of a “specific, credible threat.” Thursday’s ISIS-K attack killed 13 U.S. service members and scores of Afghans.

Civilians Killed In Latest U.S. Air Strike In Afghanistan

(Kabul) — There may have been civilian casualties in the latest U.S. air strike in Kabul, Afghanistan. Multiple sources cite eyewitnesses saying eight or nine family members were killed in the air strike. The eyewitness accounts have not been corroborated. The U.S. says the air strike was conducted on a vehicle that was “an imminent ISIS-K threat” to the airport in Kabul.
