(Sacramento, CA) — More than two-point-three-million Californians have already voted in the recall election that will decide the fate of Governor Gavin Newsom. That’s an increase of 800-thousand ballots from yesterday. The latest tracking numbers from Political Data Inc. show fifty-five percent of those voting so far are registered Democrats, which could help Newsom survive the recall challenge. Twenty three percent of the returned ballots are from registered Republicans, while independent voters with no party preference represent 22 percent. The highest number of returned ballots are coming from the following five counties: Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Clara, Riverside and Alameda, according to Political Data Inc.
