The Taliban has said a troop extension would mean the U.S. is crossing a “red line” and the President said the risks of a Taliban attack on U.S. troops from ISIS were too high. U.S. troops are scrambling to get U.S. citizens and Afghans out as the deadline approaches. The Taliban says they will no longer permit Afghan nationals to leave their country.
