(Undated) — A new Nielsen report shows streaming services continue to gain on network and cable TV in time watched. The data shows that about 26 percent of time spent watching TV was on streaming services. The New York Times reports the number last year was only at 20 percent. Still, network and cable TV accounts for about 64 percent of time spent on televisions. Streaming services have grown rapidly in recent years due in part due to the pandemic and people needing entertainment alternatives while staying at home more.
