Microsoft Board Investigate Bill Gates Over Romantic Relationship
(Seattle, WA) — Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates’ behavior in the office is coming under new scrutiny. The Wall Street Journal reports that in 2019 company’s board investigated a claim that Gates had an inappropriate romantic relationship with a female employee decades before. The Journal said that in light of the allegation, some board members thought Gates should step down. A spokeswoman for Gates admits that there was an affair some 20 years ago and that it ended amicably. Gates did resign from the board in 2020, but his rep claims it had nothing to do with the affair. Gates and his wife Melinda recently announced they are ending their marriage after 27 years.
