Poll Found High Level Of Support For Actor Matthew McConaughey As Guv: Maybe He Should Run Here

(Austin, TX) — More Texans support electing an actor for governor than re-electing the current one. A new poll from The Dallas Morning News and the University of Texas at Tyler found 45-percent of registered voters would cast their ballot for Matthew McConaughey. Meanwhile, the poll found only 33-percent would vote to re-elect governor Greg Abbott, and the other 22-percent said they would vote for someone else. McConaughey has yet to announce a career change, but he has talked about the possibility of entering politics numerous times.
