Cuomo Explains Expanded Eligibility Still Needs Boosted Supply
(Albany, NY) — New York is expanding eligibility for the coronavirus vaccine to those 50-and-over starting tomorrow, but supply still needs to get beefed up. Governor Cuomo says the key is that appointments open up tomorrow, so people can get their place in line. He adds Johnson & Johnson is getting fully ramped up through their partnership with Merck, all while Pfizer and Moderna continue their manufacturing efforts. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca is applying for emergency use authorization as they’ve also developed a vaccine.
