(Dearborn, MI) — Ford Motor Company will continue to build their best selling vehicle, the F-150, without some modules due to a microchip shortage in the auto industry. Several automakers worldwide have halted production at some assembly plants due to the problem. Ford will build the F-150 pickups and then hold them for weeks before shipping them to dealers. The automaker did halt production at their Louisville Assembly Plant in Kentucky due to the shortage, but will resume operations Tuesday.
