(Inglewood, CA) — The Los Angeles Unified School District wants to use the home of next year\’s Super Bowl as a vaccination super-site. The district is planning to turn SoFi Stadium into the epicenter for teacher and school staff member vaccinations, with the capacity to give up to ten-thousand shots per day there. Officials believe having a dedicated large site will speed up the vaccination process and lead to a faster reopening of classrooms. Teachers are in the group of L.A. County essential workers that will be eligible to get vaccinated starting March 1st. The LAUSD has asked the county health department for approval to set up the Inglewood site.
