(Ferndale, CA) — A small town butcher shop in Humboldt County will live on thanks to celebrity chef Guy Fieri. The host of the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives bought the Ferndale Meat Company building, where Fieri got his first job. The Ferndale Enterprise says its publisher notified Fieri last month the building was for sale for 300-thousand-dollars, endangering the century-old business. Fieri bought the building the next day and says he doesn’t plan to change a thing. Fieri worked for about a year at the shop making jerky when he was in the fifth grade.
