Garcetti gets vaccine that you can’t- makes an excuse after saying he’d wait his turn

L-A Mayor Eric Garcetti is facing backlash for taking the coronavirus vaccine before being eligible.  He received his first dose last week, then talked about L.A. County’s vaccine shortage on Thursday. “We don’t have enough vaccines. We don’t have enough vaccines. I understand some of that is the break-neck speed with which these vaccines have come to market, production issues.”
Currently, L.A. County only offers shots to frontline healthcare workers, nursing home patients and staff, and residents aged 65 and older.  The 49-year-old mayor says he was simply heeding the advice of medical professionals.  He’s been closely interacting with people while helping out at the Dodger Stadium mass-vaccination site, and says the shot is offered to everyone who works there.  Garcetti adds that “it’s really important” to set an example by following medical advice.  The mayor previously said he’d wait his turn to get vaccinated.
