(Chicago, IL) — COVID-19 cases across the country are starting to decline, but health experts worry new variants could wipe out the progress being made in fighting the spread. Public health experts fear that with new variants starting to spread nationwide, the country now faces a race with time to get people vaccinated before the new variants take hold. New coronavirus cases have fallen about 20-percent in the past two weeks.
