(Baltimore, MD) — Poet Amanda Gorman is getting serious attention after her reading of her poem \”The Hill We Climb\” at yesterday\’s inauguration of President Joe Biden.
Morgan State University President David Wilson was so impressed he made a job offer over Twitter, asking the 22-year-old to become poet-in-residence at the historically black school in Baltimore. Wilson said he was glued to the television during Gorman\’s recitation. The Los Angeles native is the youngest inaugural poet in U.S. history and her performance received wide acclaim.
