(Sacramento, CA) — The next round of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in California is underway, which includes teachers, child care workers, emergency service workers and people over the age of 65. Doctor John Gisla is a Medical Director with Mercy Medical Group and says they have started notifying those who qualify. He encourages people to remain patient with the process of administering the vaccine. Governor Gavin Newsom has ramped up state-wide efforts for mass distribution after a slow initial vaccine rollout.
