(Los Angeles, CA) — The National Transportation Safety Board will hold a hearing in early February to determine the cause of the helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant, his daughter and seven others in Southern California. Documents released last year suggest the pilot became disoriented while flying through fog. The documents show the pilot thought he was climbing to get above the clouds. Flight data indicates the craft was actually descending before crashing into a hillside in Calabasas. Those investigative documents did not reach any conclusions. The official cause of the crash will be determined by the NTSB at the hearing now scheduled for February 9th.
