Trump Admin Expands COVID Vax Program
(Washington, DC) — The Trump administration is expanding the coronavirus vaccination program, known as Operation Warp Speed. U.S. Health Secretary Alex Azar told reporters the vaccination distribution has been going according to plan.
The next phase expands vaccine eligibility to everyone 65 and older. The first phase primarily covered healthcare workers and nursing homes. President-elect Joe Biden has criticized the vaccination rollout as far too slow. Azar accused some states of employing a heavy-handed, micro-management approach to the distribution.
