Republicans Reject House Dems’ Move On 25th Amendment
(Washington, DC) — Republicans are slamming the door for the time being on a Democratic resolution urging VP Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment. That is aimed at removing President Trump from office before his term ends next week. One Republican objected to a “unanimous consent” request from Democrats, shelving the issue today. Dems plan to bring it back for a vote by the full House tomorrow. A majority of the Cabinet would have to sign onto invoking the 25th Amendment, making Pence acting President.
