Software Issue Blamed In Delay Of COVID Vaccine Rollout
(Los Angeles, CA) — A software issue is playing into the delay of COVID vaccine distribution in California. It’s a system called PrepMod, used to manage vaccine waitlists and inventory, and health officials across the state say it’s “fraught with technological problems.” From not being able to sign up for vaccines or access customer service, to being unable to sign on at all, the hangups are being blamed as another reason for slow vaccine rollout. Data shows the state has given out less than one-third of the vaccines sent her by the Federal government.
