Gov. Gavin Newsom Says Vaccine Efforts “Not Good Enough”

(Sacramento, CA) — Governor Gavin Newsom said the number of people being vaccinated in the state is “not good enough.” Speaking Monday, Newsom said only 454-thousand people have been vaccinated, despite the state receiving almost one-point-three-million doses. Newsom revealed he is planning to submit a proposal to state legislator later this week that would allot 300-million dollars towards increasing the state’s vaccination efforts.

A source close to the family tells NBC News King has been in the hospital with COVID-19 for about ten days. He believes he got it from a healthcare worker who came to his home. The source said the 87-year-old’s first day in the hospital was the worst, noting he went through dialysis. King’s doctors are optimistic that he will continue to recover.
