Army Arrives To Help L.A. Hospitals

(Los Angeles, CA) — Help is here for L.A. County hospitals. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is at work updating oxygen delivery systems at six area hospitals. The medical centers have been struggling to meet the need for oxygen among COVID patients with respiratory issues. The staff at Adventist Health White Memorial hospital in Boyle Heights is also joined by National Guard strike teams. They’re working 12-hour shifts to alleviate the strain on hospital staff. Certified Nursing and Medical officer Patricia Stone says their staff is “thrilled” to have the help.
