(Los Angeles, CA) — Paul McCartney is releasing a solo album he worked on during the COVID-19 lockdown. “McCartney III” is coming out on December 11th following the former Beatle’s 1970 solo debut called “McCartney.” The musician said the album celebrates the 50th anniversary of him being a solo act, however it wasn’t initially a part of his plan. The project “McCartney III” was a result of working on music for a film on his family farm during the coronavirus pandemic. McCartney explained over the years he had several unfinished songs and started completing each piece of music just for the fun of it. This project follows McCartney’s 2018 solo album called Egypt Station that became his first number one hit in 36 years.
