Joe Biden is now the official presidential candidate of the Democratic Party. The former vice president formally accepted his party’s nomination at last night’s convention, and vowed to “protect America.” Biden also pledged he would be a President for all Americans, not just his “base,” and called this November a life-changing election with character, compassion and decency on the ballot, along with science and democracy. He also praised his running mate Kamala Harris, and called the California senator a powerful voice for the nation. Harris is the first woman of color on a major party’s presidential ticket.
(Washington, DC) — President Trump says Democrats are trying to steal the election. Trump claimed in a tweet that over 50-million mail-in ballots are being sent out to voters who didn’t request one, and claimed “many of those people don’t even exist.” He also said the “enthusiasm meter” for Joe Biden is the lowest it’s ever been, and Democrats are worried that voter turnout will be low because of it.
