The storms have now passed and Cal-Trans managed to clear the snow off I-5 along the Grapevine. Standing next to a snow-covered hillside, this driver told KTLA-5 that looking at the winter wonderland as she drove through Castaic was a first.
”It’s bizarre. It doesn’t feel like the California that I know as a native Californian. It feels like I’m in Colorado or – I don’t know where I am.”
The California Highway Patrol is no longer escorting cars across the pass, so the traffic is flowing normally across the Grapevine. Enjoy the snowy view while it lasts.
