Heavy rain is causing headaches from some drivers, but five-thousand feet up the hill it’s dumping snow at local ski resorts. John McColly from Mountain High tells KTLA-5 they could fire up the lifts very soon.
”Well, it could be this weekend. We don’t want to guarantee anything because it’s not 100%, but I’d say a 50/50 chance of opening sometime this weekend, Friday through Sunday.”
He pleasantly surprised by the several inches of snow that have already fallen. The mountain tops could receive over a foot of fresh powder before the end of the week.
