Multiple guns are being examined that were found in the home of the 16-year-old Santa Clarita shooting suspect. But so far, investigators don’t know why he opened fire on Thursday.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva says video of the shooting shows a premeditated attack.

”The way he was firing his weapon, he was counting his rounds, it appeared he knew exactly what he had. Bringing that weapon on campus to begin with, it wasn’t a spur of the moment act.”

He says some of the guns were not registered. Others were registered to the suspect’s late father. Captain Kent Wegener with the Sheriff’s Department says they have interviewed over 40 witnesses.

”However, I want to reiterate, that if there are people out there – students or administrators – people that had information about this subject, please call Sheriff’s homicide.”

Two students died and three were wounded. Seconds later, the suspect shot himself in the head.
