The electrical utility admits no wrongdoing, but will pay the money to several public agencies to resolve claims related to the 2018 fire. The disaster burned 96-thousand acres, destroyed dozens of homes across Los Angeles and Ventura counties and killed several people. The agreement is part of a 360-million dollar settlement that also involves the Thomas Fire and the deadly mud flows that resulted. That 2018 fire burned in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
