The fire broke out Thursday and quickly started chewing through homes and vegetation near the Aliso Canyon gas facility. People who live nearby were worried the fire might cause gas leaks. Officials say they’ve checked things out, and the facility did not sustain any major damage and air monitoring conducted over the weekend found no detectable levels of methane gas in the area. The facility was home to one of the biggest gas leaks in U.S. history.
