One of the pilots who died in the crash of a World War Two bomber was from Long Beach.

Seventy-five year-old Ernest McCauley is one of seven people who died in Connecticut on Wednesday when the vintage aircraft slammed into an airport building. Officials say he was one of the pilots flying the plane when it experienced mechanical problems after takeoff. The plane crashed and burned during an attempted landing. Six people survived.
