Authorities say an Oxnard mother was walking her nine-year-old daughter and her neighbor’s eight-year-old son to school when they hit by a teen driver. They were struck in the crosswalk in front of Ramona Elementary School just before classes began. Police were seen giving the boy CPR, but he was later pronounced dead. The girl and her mother are expected to recover. The 17-year-old driver is cooperating. She had been dropping off her own family members at the same school when she hit the three victims.
