Fall is back and so are the high winds and dangerous heat.

The triple-digit heat and high winds in parts of Southern California won’t last long. But while they’re here, LA County Fire Captain Tony Imbrenda tells KTLA 5 everyone needs to be on guard.

”Now, as we start to string together multiple days of triple-digit temperatures in the low humidities, we’re going to see that fuel dry out and then of course you have that high probability of ignition and rapid rate of spread that’s characteristic of fall weather in Southern California.”

And that means everyone needs to keep even the smallest sparks or flames away from any brush. Also, keep pets and children away from dangerous heat and locked cars.
