Torrance Police Sergeant Alexander Martinez says they pulled two people from the aircraft.

”The fire department transported one male, adult to a local hospital for unknown injuries at this time. The second occupant of the plane was pronounced deceased at the scene.”

It’s not clear why the plane crashed, but witnesses say it was making erratic movements seconds earlier. It slammed into a single-story building says Torrance Assistant Fire Chief Robert Millea.

”You can see from the ground how it went, how it penetrated through the roof.”

No one on the ground was injured. Officials from the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
