Capital One lost a massive amount of consumer data in a case now before a federal court. The case is based in Seattle, where the feds say a suspect named Paige Thompson was arrested on Monday and accused of stealing the information from a cloud-computing company. That company has not been named. The complaint says the hack exposed tens of millions of credit applications at Capital One. That includes 120-thousand Social Security numbers and 77-thousand bank account numbers.
