Racing officials say Santa Anita Park will host a famous horse race despite 30 horse deaths and new state regulations. Organizers say the 2019 Breeders’ Cup World Championships will take place at the Arcadia race track in November. California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill this week that gives state regulators more power to shut down race tracks with safety issues. It’s not clear if they’ll target Santa Anita.
