A California lawmaker thinks the third time is the charm.

California State Senator Scott Wiener is making a third attempt to get the “last call for alcohol” in some cities moved to 4am.

“Twenty-three states allow businesses to go later than 2am, so this is not a radical notion… and we want to have world-class nightlife in our cities. That’s one of the things that makes cities great. It’s about our culture, about our economy. These are small businesses, a lot of jobs.”

Wiener was a guest on 790KABC.
