A lawyer representing people suing Southern California Edison over the devastating Woolsey Fire says the giant utility needs to be persuaded to put safety first.
R. Rex Parris, an attorney now is his 4th term as mayor of Lancaster, says part of the problem is that the California Public Utilities Commission is in the pocket of the industry.
”I have grave doubts about this particular fire having anything to do with forest management, it has to do with the failure to manage the power industry.”
He says Southern California Edison should be helping people affected by the fires he says were caused by their negligence
”And what’s Southern California Edison doing? They’re hiring lawyers and lobbyists to avoid accountability, that’s what’s going on here.”
R. Rex Parris was a guest on McIntyre in the Morning.
