Los Angeles County has acted on an emergency declaration over the natural gas leak in Aliso Canyon.
The Declaration, introduced by Supervisor Mike Antonovich, passed unanimously Tuesday. Spokesman Tony Bell stated:
“The residents of Porter Ranch are going on their 50th plus day since this gas leak was discovered. There have been thousands of requests for relocation, there’s been air purifiers installed, lives have been disrupted, lawsuits filed.”
The declaration clears the way for the state to get involved to speed repairs on the leaking well and aid the people of Porter Ranch. Tom Perumean, KABC NEWS.
