A manhunt is underway in Kern County where a gunman is wanted for kidnapping, murder, and ambushing and wounding two deputies in a wild Saturday night gunfight.
Pushing into its third day, the manhunt is being aided with air support from Orange County Sheriff’s and LA County SWAT on the ground. Sheriff’s spokesman Ray Pruitt says they believe its all the work of one man.
The search for the man is focusing on an area 25 miles Northeast of Tehachapi in rugged terrain with abandoned mines, caves and other places to hide. Tom Perumean, KABC NEWS.
