The man suspected of burning down the DaVinci apartment complex — being built in downtown L.A. — makes his first court appearance.
The man who is suspected of deliberately setting fire to the DaVinci apartments in December — pleaded “not guilty” to two counts of arson during his arraignment on Thursday. Dawud Abdulwali is charged with one count each of “arson of a structure” and “aggravated arson.” ATF special Agent Carlos Canino said Wednesday that he believes they’ve caught the right man. Abdulwali faces between 10 years and life in prison if convicted.
