Carson is moving ahead with plans to fast-track the construction of a 72-thousand seat football stadium in hopes of housing the Chargers and Raiders should they decide to abandon their respective cities. The move by the city council bypasses putting the proposal to a vote of the people. Carson Mayor Albert Robles told a local TV station, he hopes the enthusiasm Carson has shown for the stadium is recognized by NFL owners.
