As the new Chairman of the State’s Utility and Commerce Committee, Assemblyman Mike Gatto has made the Porter Ranch Gas Leak a priority.
Gatto is promising to hold a hearing on the Porter Ranch Gas Leak within a month.
“Right now the public really wants some answers. People who live in Porter Ranch want firm commitments on when this issue will be remedied.”
Gatto said the goal of the inquiry is to find out how the leak happened, when and how it can be stopped, and whether it could happen again and in other communities. He also wants a closer study into the age and condition of the natural gas infrastructure. Tom Perumean, KABC NEWS.
